I shot the show differently tonight, partly because I remember one photographer whose work I saw a few years ago that was grittier b/w that I was really into and partly because Homestead Lanes is a really lame place to take photos so I didn’t want the environment to be apparent. If you don’t like it, buh, sorry.

Bwahhh cool! I photograph bands this way all the time because most venues make for apparently boring image-environments.
Great work!

I FOUND SOME ARTWORK THAT I MADE IN HIGH SCHOOL, FEATURING A PICTURE OF WHAT I LOOKED LIKE IN HIGH SCHOOL.

1999 Y’ALL.

what is a blog anyway.

Hey y’all, I’ve made a selected portfolio of my photography which is available for sale in glorious color and black’n’white at Blurb.com.
As a super special bonus, anyone who places an order for my book within the next two weeks will receive a separate awesome package containing your choice of any (or all) of my zines, a CD of my music, and/or a custom-made (simple) embroidery patch. (Click all those links for examples, let me know what you want.) Personally, I’m usually too broke to ever consider purchasing books, so I’m trying to make this worth your while, product/content-wise.
I’m trying to raise some extra money so that I can take my cat friends in for their first vet check-ups/kitty vaccinations in the near future. We were recently ~blessed~ with two new kittens born of a stray cat who decided to come and live with us and I am already too attached to give this new kitty family up.
Consume art… for the kittens!

This is a purse I made for my friend’s 6th birthday. It’s made of felt stitched with embroidery thread & the strap is braided yarn. Colby helped draw the dinosaur pattern.
I’m thinking about taking the Etsy plunge, y’all… I keep forgetting that I enjoy sewing (and knitting and embroidery) because it’s fun, practical, keeps my hands busy so I don’t want to smoke cigarettes, and allows me to plough through my Netflix queue without feeling like I’m wasting time staring at a screen. Plus, when I finished this project, Colby said, “you’re really good at sewing,” and I was all, “NOOOOooo… wait a minute. Actually YES I AM! WHOA.” and that was a nice feeling! Could I possibly… make some extra money doing something I enjoy?
Colby is a good draw-er and we could be a custom-designing team! How much would you pay for something like this?

Usually I’m not partial to (and would rarely post) such blurry photos, but I guess in this case it is appropriate considering ~punk rock~ and a need to document. These were taken while they were singing “MK Ultra,” my favorite Testors song.

I’m (finally) exiting Art Skool on 4/20 from 7pm-9pm if any of y’all locals want to stop on by. There will be wine & snacks. I’m bringing deviled eggs.
PS I made these postcards.
